The officials were in Tuheljske Toplice for a two-day working meeting.
Parliament Speaker Josip Leko told reporters that what the SDP had wanted when it came to power two years ago had not been achieved, but that the government was on the right track.
"We haven't achieved what we wanted, but my assessment is that we are on the right track, that we have made good preparations, changes in the foundations of politics and the Croatian economy, and I hope the second half of the term will show results," Leko said.
Asked if some steps forward could have been made faster, he said this had already been stated by SDP president and Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic. "When the government which creates the policy says that we could have been faster, I have nothing to add."
Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic agreed that some things could have been done faster over the past two years, notably reforms.
