ZAGREB, Nov 26
(Hina) - A new traffic-signal system at Zagreb's
central railway station, in addition to ensuring greater passenger
security and better surveillance when it is put into operation in two
weeks time, will facilitate faster transport through the station and
Zagreb from the current 60 kmph to around 160 kmph, the CEO of the
Croatian Railways (HZ) infrastructure company, Darko Pericic, said on
Tuesday inspecting a new station master's office housing the new
signal system valued at EUR 11.4 million, 85% of which was financed
from the EU's IPA pre-accession fund.
