BRUSSELS, Nov 15
(Hina) - The European Commission intends to
recommend to the Council of the European Union the opening of an
Excessive Deficit Procedure for Croatia considering that the deficit
in Croatia is significantly above the maximum debt allowed of three
per cent and public debt next year is expected to exceed 60% of Gross
Domestic Product (GDP), the EC said in a press release on Friday.
