Wilfried Martens said on Wednesday that the European Commission's
decision to initiate the procedure for punitive action against Croatia
was justified, while the head of the Socialists and Democrats group in
the European Parliament, Hannes Swoboda, said that the European
Arrest Warrant must be applied by all member states, but that the
Commission's decision was hasty.
