Last year, the airport recorded its millionth passenger on August 24, assistant director Pero Bilas told Hina.
This year's millionth passenger was Austrian lawyer Petar Kisser, who was presented with 300 euros. He landed in Split aboard a Croatia Airlines plane and the national carrier gave him two round-trip tickets to any destination of his choosing.
Bilas said 336,000 passengers passed through Split Airport in July, a record-high for all Croatian airports and 14 per cent higher than in July 2012.
