The ministry added that 192,412 family farms are registered in Croatia and that 105,000 receive some kind of state aid.
Farmers have been protesting for three days, demanding the resignation of Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina, the payment of incentives for 2012 in the amount paid in 2011, and a meeting with Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and Finance Minister Slavko Linic.
The Agriculture Ministry said it was monitoring them in cooperation with the Interior Ministry.
