He voiced confidence that the Commission was willing to meet with Croatian representatives to hear their arguments, "to see if these arguments can be incorporated into European rules."
After Croatia last Friday amended a law under which the EAW was not applicable to crimes committed before 7 August 2002, Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said Croatia was willing to discuss with the Commission if it was possible to impose a time frame for the EAW.
The Commission has said a number of times that such a time limit is not possible.
