The project is part of the US Humanitarian Mine Action Program, involving the US Embassy and the Croatian Armed Forces General Staff, and will be carried out under the auspices of the US Department of State.
With six trained dolphins and support from Croatian divers, US soldiers will search the sea in the Dubrovnik area for possible mines and other explosives.
The project will be implemented from the end of September to mid-October.
The US military has been developing the Dolphin 13 project since 1959.
