ZAGREB, June 19
(Hina) - The parliamentary Judiciary Committee on
Wednesday adopted with a majority vote, but opposed by Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) MPs, a bill of amendments to the law on
judicial cooperation in penal maters with European Union member states
according to which Croatia is expected to apply, upon its EU entry on
1 July, European Arrest Warrants (EAW) for crimes perpetrated after 7
August 2002.
