Representatives of the two countries said solving this issue was especially important for the families of the missing as well as a contribution to good neighbourly relations, the Croatian War Veterans Ministry said after a meeting at the Croatian government.
The two commissions exchanged available information and agreed to conduct joint investigations.
They highlighted the progress achieved in the restitution of part of the records of Vukovar's hospital and the recent discovery of a mass grave in Sotin, eastern Croatia.
Serbia expressed willingness to do all that is necessary to solve outstanding issues pertaining to the war's missing.
