"We checked all 1,800 invalid ballots and found that perhaps a dozen were valid, which is marginal and has absolutely no impact on the final election result, since Baldasar had 615 more votes than Ivanisevic," Botica told Hina.
When the HDZ's representatives in the City Election Commission saw that there were no irregularities in randomly selected valid votes, they agreed to accept the election result, Botica said.
He added that all those who took part in the Split mayoral runoff had 48 hours to file any complaints.
