She said homemade products were essential not only for opening the tourism market, to which health food producers had closest access, but also for setting European standards.
"As of July we will no longer harmonise but co-create the European policy. Therefore, European rules will include what Croatia brings," Pusic said, adding that health food was an important product that Croatia would bring to Europe.
She reiterated that outdoor produce markets would remain as they were after Croatia's EU accession.
She also said Varazdin County and the Town of Varazdin were important centres for Croatia and an important example of what Croatia could do by "setting high European standards."
