Delegations of Vukovar-Srijem County and Ilok also laid wreaths and lit candles.
About 1,200 Red Army members are buried on the site of the monument. They were killed in a breakthrough of the Syrmian Front. More than 90 per cent were Ukrainians.

(Hina) - On the occasion of Europe Day and Victory Day,
a delegation of the Ukrainian Embassy to Croatia led by Ambassador
Oleksandr Levchenko laid wreaths in the eastern Croatian town of Ilok
on Tuesday at a monument to soldiers of the 3rd Ukrainian Front killed
in 1944.
