ZAGREB, April 15
(Hina) - Croatian Foreign and European Affairs
Minister Vesna Pusic on Monday met with European Commissioner for
Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship Viviane Reding and the
talks focused on Croatia's election for the European Parliament held
yesterday, the poor turnout, and the need to inform citizens about the
work of European institutions given Croatia's upcoming EU accession,
the ministry said in a press release.
Reding and Pusic also talked about Croatia's path towards membership, the accession negotiations, and the reforms that have been done, notably in the judiciary.
The two officials agreed that the reforms and the standards Croatia has achieved are irreversible and that Croatia is a model to the other countries in the region.
