All political groups in the German parliament as well as the German government support Croatia's admission to the EU, Meierhofer was quoted as saying.
He praised Croatia as a successful fledgling democracy.
Josipovic expressed satisfaction with the tradition of frequent visits of German parliamentarians to Croatia, which, he said, proved close and friendly bilateral relations.
He thanked Germany for its support to Croatia's EU membership bids, and said that upon its EU entry Croatia would continue developing good neighbourly relations and support its neighbours on their EU paths.
