ZAGREB, April 5
(Hina) - The "Kontra" NGO promoting lesbian rights
and the "Iskorak" NGO for the rights of sexual and gender minorities
on Friday called on Croatian institutions to abolish discrimination
against same-sex couples by amending family legislation and to secure
them the right to enter a formal and a common-law marriage and to
urgently adopt amendments to the law on state registries so as to
clearly define the documents necessary to change information about
gender and name on personal identification documents for transgender
persons.
