(Hina) - The construction of the Ombla
hydro-electric plant won't threaten cave fauna provided that measures
are taken to lessen and buffer negative impact and the biodiversity
management plan is implemented and expert supervision is conducted
during preparations, construction and use of the plant, which is why
the matter of cave fauna should not be perceived as a reason not to
construct the HE Ombla, representatives of Croatia's electricity
provider (HEP) told a press conference at a presentation of the
Biodiversity Management Plan.
