He said the workers had not received their salaries since mid-2012, that they were at the end of their tether and had no news about the salaries or the future of Dioki and Dina, "apart from stories that Ivan Cermak's company Crodux is negotiating its participation in a pre-bankruptcy settlement" and restructuring.
Perkovic said the unions had no official information about that, and that salaries could be paid from the future sale of company land for an LNG terminal on the island of Krk, namely before the final land price was agreed.
A union official in Dina, Predrag Mihaljevic, confirmed that some Dina workers would take part in the Zagreb protest.
He said the workers had no money even for their basic needs and that they demanded more radical action, which he said could be expected ahead of the tourist season.
