This is the first bubbly from the native Malvasia grape and was produced in cooperation with the Agronomics Faculty in Zagreb. It was made by agronomists Grgur Glavinic and Ivo Deranja under the mentorship of Professor Bernardo Kozina.
Kozina explained that the new champagne Perlan Dubrovacki is the only one from the Malvasia grape, which was recently threatened by extinction in Dalmatian regions.
The bubbly will be produced in limited quantities and will be exclusive to Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
