The session discussed, among other things, a draft law on the alignment of German legislation as part of the process of Croatia's EU accession.
As until now, certain groups of Croatians will not require working permits for Germany even after July 1, primarily those with college degrees, trainees who want to learn a profession in Germany for at least two years and seasonal workers who can work in Germany up to six months a year without a permit, said Seibert.
Croatia's EU accession treaty will, according to expectations, go into force on July 1, provided it is ratified by all member countries.
Ratification began in Germany last August and requires the alignment of German legislation, said Seibert.
