Soft oil eased back towards the close following the lower opening in Chicago with soy oil unchanged to 0.50 guilders up after Nov traded at 86 and Feb/Apr at 93 guilders. Rape oil also finished unchanged to 0.50 guilders higher after Dec fetched 90 guilders and Feb/Apr 93 guilders a 100 kilos fob ex-mill. At the close the rape oil was offered at a premium of 3.5 to 4.5 guilders over soyoil against 3.50 to four at Friday's close. Palm oil was uninspiring with prices in Asia trying to consolidate ahead of Ivan Wong's October crop report due on Thursday and with little interest seen in Europe. Crude palm oil closed $2.50 to $5 down while refined palm oils were unchanged to $2.50 lower with no further business reported during the afternoon. Coconut oil closed unchanged to $5 up after Oct/Nov traded at $745 a tonne cif. Palmkernel oil finished $5 down in a tradeless market.
