"There has been nothing new today to give the market any direction," said a trader. No clear near-term trend appears to be materialising on the palm oil market following Tuesday's neutral to slightly bearish Malaysian Palm Oil Registration and Licensing Authority (PORLA) oil and stocks report. On Tuesday PORLA put end-Sept output at 864,730 tonnes, up 6.04 percent from Aug. Sept stocks were 894,030 tonnes against 803,016 tonnes and exports were 637,079 tonnes against 687,870. Crude palm oil cif Europe closed around $2.50 down after Dec fetched $522.50 and Nov traded at $525 in a switch with Jan at $520 a tonne cif. Among refined palm oils RBD oil was unchanged to $2.50 lower while olein was $2.50 down across the board. Coconut oil saw some light trade during the afternoon with Sep/Oct fetching $730, Oct/Nov $720 and Nov/Dec at $715 a tonne cif. Closing sellers were $5 down to unchanged. Palmkernel oil finished $2.50 lower after Oct/Nov traded at $690 and Nov also at $690 a tonne cif. In soft oils Dutch soy oil closed 0.50 guilders up to 0.50 guilders down after Nov/Jan traded at 90 guilders a 100 kilos fob ex-mill.
