Light fund buying was cited in the July contract but overall, the session was a quiet one, with only 11,297 lots estimated to have changed hands. "The sugar dinner is tomorrow and people generally are not doing business," a dealer said, referring to the annual U.S. Cane Sugar Refiners' Assocaition event on Wednesday. Traders expect the dull tone to persist through the end of the week. The benchmark July contract closed up 0.07 cent at 11.05 cents per lb, having ranged from 11.07 to 10.96 cents. The outer contracts settled 0.05 higher to 0.01 lower. Key technical targets remained intact, including support at 10.92 cents, and resistance at 11.11 and 11.20 cents.
