"Such statements aren't conducive to good relations in the region or to what both countries need. We have no other institutions but legal ones. Functioning both in the European Union and in the region is possible only by respecting legal institutions and with a functioning judiciary," she said.
"Politically charged statements and statements which disqualify institutions aren't good for the creation of good relations in the region, which is what we need, both Serbia and Croatia, and I hope we will find a way to put passions on the back burner and concentrate on what we can do."
Speaking of tasks Croatia must complete to join the European Union, Pusic said a privatisation contract for the Brodosplit shipyard should be signed by January 1 and sustainable solutions for the 3. Maj and Brodotrogir yards found by January 31.
She said some tasks had been completed, including laws on distraint, the police and freedom of information, and the translation of the acquis.
