LJUBLJANA, Nov 16
(Hina) - A former spokeswoman for the Office of
the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former
Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague said on Friday she was not surprised
that Croatian generals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markac were acquitted
on appeal, adding that the ruling showed that the two generals were
not responsible for crimes committed during Croatia's war of
independence in 1995.
