"After meeting them separately, I chaired a joint meeting in my office which was conducted in a good and constructive atmosphere. We agreed to continue the dialogue for the normalisation of relations between the two sides and both committed to working together. We will meet again soon", Ashton said.
"I firmly believe that the dialogue is in the interest of both sides. Its objective is to improve the lives of people and help solve problems and, in so doing, bring Serbia and Kosovo closer to the European Union", she added.
Belgrade and Pristina began the dialogue under the EU's aegis in March 2011, reaching a series of agreements expected to gradually normalise relations and make life easier for the people in Kosovo. The dialogue was suspended this past May, ahead of a parliamentary election in Serbia.
