Zagreb has joined more than 300 regional and city offices in Brussels through which those regions and cities try to impact decision-making in European institutions and apply for European funding for development projects.
Bandic said Zagreb was most interested in transport, local infrastructure and ecology projects.
Zagreb's office is located in Brussels' European neighbourhood where European Union institutions are located.
Speeches were also delivered by Croatian Ambassador to the EU Vladimir Drobnjak and member of the European Parliament Doris Pack.
