A slightly higher number of foreign and a smaller number of Croatian exhibitors will show their products and services, which indicates the extent to which this industry is still feeling the effects of the global crisis, ZV director Milan Trbojevic told reporters.
Croatia's wood-processing industry was the first to feel the effects of the crisis as 65 per cent of its final products are exported but, by investing to improve quality and design, it has managed to keep its share in Croatia's total exports of about eight per cent, or about US$ 1 billion annually, said Ambienta organising committee chair Ivica Grbac.
The fair will include exhibitions, presentations and workshops, the Business Club, and an international symposium, "Wood is good - with knowledge and technology to competitiveness of the forestry and wood-processing sectors".
