The two sides were agreed that the recession was still present in Croatia and that the economic circumstances were still tough.
The head of the IMF mission for Croatia, Nikolay Gueorguiev, praised the government's efforts in fiscal consolidation as positive and brave.
He said there was financial stability in the context of monetary and financial sector issues, but voiced concern about the stagnation in lending.
As a result of the government's resolute policy in budget consolidation, budget execution in the first six months of the year proceeded as planned, Gjurkovic said.
He added that the many restrictions and cuts of entitlements were not simple but that parliament supported the government in that.
Radjenovic briefed the IMF delegation about a new legislative framework that should help stimulate investments and employment, increase competitiveness, and maintain the financial discipline on the market.
The talks also addressed structural reforms, notably the restructuring of public companies.
The IMF delegation is visiting Croatia from September 19 to October 1.
