Although the names of the candidates have not been discussed publicly, according to unofficial reports, the candidates for the director general's post are incumbent acting director general Domagoj Novokmet; Goran Rotim, former director of Microsoft Croatia and Zagreb Television director in 1987-90; and former Croatian Radio programming editor in chief Dusko Radic.
Among the candidates are also Zlatan Avar (HRT); Sasa Runjic, former editor of RTL's entertainment programme and owner of the Fikcija production company; Zoran Kalinic, Mario Kraljevic and Goran Krmpotic.
Applications for the HRT director general were invited on July 16 and could be submitted until August 30.
