The goal of the project is to improve the school's work, integrate European Union law topics and strengthen the efficiency of judicial bodies in Croatia.
The project is being implemented by the Judicial Academy in cooperation with the Centre for Legal Studies and the State Judicial Council of Spain, the partner country in the project.
The goal is to create an efficient judicial system with the public perception that judges and other judicial officials are expert and independent, said Supreme Court president Branko Hrvatin.
He underlined the state's role in the strengthening of the judicial system, saying one must not economise on it.
Deputy State Prosecutor Darko Klier said the "state is democratic to the extent its judiciary is independent," adding that the lasting education of judges played a key part in that.
