Autor: half
VUKOVAR, Aug 31 (Hina) - A public school period on the multi-perspectiveness of history, attended by about 20 youths from Zagreb, Vukovar and Belgrade, was held in Vukovar, eastern Croatia on Friday as part of the Network for the Participatory Culture of Remembrance project.

The meeting was organised by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights from Croatia and Serbia for the purpose of mutual understanding, understanding the recent past, and dialogue.

Croatian historian Damir Juric said people were mainly not interested in history, either in Serbia or in Croatia.

Serbian historian Milivoj Beslin said recent researches showed that people in Serbia knew little about the past, especially about the last two decades.

Vukovar Mayor Danijela Stankovic said the meeting of young people from Croatia and Serbia contributed to coexistence and a better future in Vukovar.

In the morning, the students cleaned the yard of Europe House in Vukovar. After the school period, they visited the Ovcara Memorial Home.
