The co-organisers of the meeting are the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Serb Orthodox Church, the Sarajevo Archdiocese, and the Bosnian Jewish Community.
As the host, Sarajevo is expected to represent a city of peace and co-existence, a symbol of Europe and the whole world. The meeting is expected to be the biggest religious and political dialogue event since the recent war.
The aim of the meeting is to contribute to the building of trust and respect in the region and it will be a opportunity to recall the words of Pope John Paul II in Sarajevo in 1997, when he wished that there should be no war, hate and intolerance ever again, KTA said.
