According to the Federation entity's TV, Jasarevic refused to appear in court after the judge ordered him out of the courtroom in early July for contempt.
The other two defendants in the case, Emrah Fojnica and Munib Ahmetspahic, were present and said they would respect the State Court.
Prosecution witness Mujo Odobasic, who worked as security at the embassy on the day of the attack, said Jasarevic had randomly shot at the building, wounding a member of the state police agency. He said Jasarevic was praying in Arabic and walking nervously.
"When (my colleague) told him to stop shooting, he said 'You are infidels. You are protecting the Americans, who are killing our brothers around the world," said the witness.
A member of the Bosnian Investigation and Protection Agency who investigated the crime scene, Borislav Cvoro, said a machine gun and two hand grenades were found on the spot where Jasarevic had been wounded.
A bag with another machine gun, two loaded clips and three hand grenades as well as a jacket with a video message in which Jasarevic announced the attacks were found near the embassy building, Cvoro said.
