A total of 38 teams from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Serbian province of Vojvodina participated in this 22.5-kilometre-long race.
The boat marathon is held every year on the second Saturday in August. This year's race was held under the auspices of President Ivo Josipovic, who attended the event just as he did last year.
The Neretva marathon is an amateur competition that has become one of Croatia's most recognisable tourist attractions. Its purpose is to preserve and save from oblivion traditional boats from the Neretva Delta.
