The survey covered 659 employed people and revealed that despite the grave economic crisis 72 per cent of employed people will go on vacation. Fifty-two per cent were satisfied with the duration of their annual leave, although 15 per cent said they only had seven days' leave.
As many as 79 per cent said they would prefer a raise to more days off, which shows that salaries in Bosnia remain low and are insufficient to meet many necessities.
Fifty-four per cent of the employed work on weekends and for 36 per cent of them, employers count Saturdays among the annual vacation days.
Although they consider annual leave important, 49 per cent of those polled said they had to interrupt it because of work.
Because of pressure from their employers, 38 per cent of those polled were unable to use their full annual leave.
Only 43 per cent said they could go on vacation when it suited them.
A quarter of those polled said they must always be available to their employer, even when they are on vacation, because of which nearly 30 per cent had to interrupt their holidays.
