ZAGREB, July 20
(Hina) - The independent trade union representing
employees in high schools and the Croatian Teachers Union said on
Friday that the government's decision to abolish the supplements of
3,5,7 and 9 percent to teachers' monthly wages as of 1 August was an
act of retaliation because unions would not agree to blackmails,
calling on Education Minister Zeljko Jovanovic to resign.
