Contesting Cacic's claims about poor visibility and patches of fog on the Nagykanisza-Budapest motorway when the accident happened, the prosecutors said that photos of the scene of the accident and testimonies of other witnesses proved that the visibility was good.
The prosecutors also quoted weather service officials saying that there was no fog that day. They insisted on their argument that Cacic's speeding had caused the fatal crash.
Katalin Liptak, the driver of the Skoda Fabia which Cacic's car hit, insists that Cacic should be held accountable for the accident in which she lost her 81-year-old mother and the 60-year-old husband. They died of injuries sustained in the crash some time after the accident. Liptak requested three hours for presenting her closing argument.
