SARAJEVO, June 1
(Hina) - The State Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina
on Friday sentenced former Bosnian Serb soldier Ratko Dronjak to 15
years in prison for war crimes he perpetrated against captured
soldiers of the Croat Defence Council (HVO) and the Bosnian Army in
Drvar in the early 1990s.
Dronjak was a commander of one of the camps in the western Bosnian town of Drvar in which Croat and Bosniak soldiers were systematically tortured, and a result of which many of those POWs died.
The convict was found guilty of the death of at least 11 POWs.
