Bajs substituted Josip Friscic in the parliamentary benches after Frsicic, the then HSS leader won that seat at the 4 December parliamentary elections running in the second electoral unit.
The MIP today unanimously decided that there were no grounds in the legislation to have Hrg take over this place.
The commission said that the term of the substitute deputy lasts until he/she resigns or until some other reasons, as stipulates in the election legislation, appears.
However, the Croatian Peasant Party insists that a statement made on 19 December 2011 by Friscic while he was still at the helm of the party regarding him being substituted by Bajs was not based on the HSS statute.
Therefore, on 25 February, the HSS main committee decided to ask for the replacement of Bajs by Hrg in the parliamentary benches.
