ZAGREB, April 17
(Hina) - Mladen Barisic, a former treasurer of the
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party who has pleaded guilty to the
charges that he used money siphoned from public companies and state
institutions through the private marketing firm Fimi Media to fill the
HDZ's slush fund, said on Tuesday before the Zagreb County Court that
he would not be presenting his defence.
