The LEADER network held its founding session in Karlovac on Thursday. It was attended by over 60 participants representing local action groups, banks, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, development agencies, business, civil society organisations, local government units, and rural development organisations. They adopted a statute and an action plan for 2012/13, and chose members of the network's working bodies. Milan Medic, a coach at the Centre for Civil Initiatives and head of the Office of the local action group Vallis Colapis, was elected president of the LEADER network in Croatia.
The LEADER network was established as an umbrella organisation covering 20 of the 31 registered local action groups.
