A total of 112,900 tonnes of apples was produced, up six per cent on the year, including 99,600 produced for the market and 13,200 tonnes in extensive orchards, mainly in subsistence farming.
Sour cherry production went up 58 per cent to 10,700 tonnes, including 6,900 tonnes produced for the market and 3,700 tonnes in subsistence farming.
Black cherry production went up 18 per cent to 6,200 tonnes, nectarine production by 33 per cent, apricot production by 41 per cent and strawberry production by eight per cent.
On the other hand, tangerine production dropped 24 per cent to 42,400 tonnes, olive production by 17 per cent to 31,400 tonnes, plum production by 10 per cent, walnut production by 33 per cent, hazelnut production by 44 per cent, and fig production by four per cent.
