ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - A lot has been done in the introduction and promotion of electronic billing as part of e-business however there are still many problems to be addressed in this sector in order facilitate the everyday application of the information and communication technology (ICT), heard a business conference called "e-bizz2012", which is taking place in Zagreb from 26 to 28 March.

The event, organised by the Case company, brought together nearly 200 participants.

Speaking about progress in the implementation of electronic billing, Croatian Economy Ministry official Ema Culi said the relevant agencies had adopted changes leading to equating bills printed on paper with electronic formats.

Under the "Digital Agenda for Europe", electronic billing should become a prevalent form of payment in the European Union by 2020.
