PRESIDENT TUDJMAN RECIVES CROATIAN ARMY OFFICIALS

ZAGREB, Dec 27 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman received today the officials of the Croatian Defence ministry and Croatian Armed Forces on the occasion of Christmas and New Year holidays. In his speech President Tudjman stressed that international circumstances still do not allow final integration of the Croatian areas supervised by UNPROFOR in the legal and economic system of the Republic of Croatia. We are trying to solve this problem by peaceful and political measures in cooperation with international factors, said President Tudjman adding that Croatian Armed Forces still have a duty to be prepared to liberate every inch of Croatian territory by its own forces if it is necessary. The President also said that the Croatian Army shuld not follow any other policy but that determined by Croatian State officials, Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces. Croatia's choice is the democratic way and that is why neither right nor left tendency can be tolerated, said President Tudjman and appealed to the members of the Croatian Army to prevent any provocation that is not beneficial to the development of democratic Croatia. 271831 MET dec 93
