ZAGREB, Dec 27 (Hina) - Several UNHCR convoys carrying 435 tons of
humanitarian aid for Bosnia-Herzegovina were returned from the
border crossing Mali Prolog, between Croatia and Bosnia-
Herzegovina, yesterday, said UNHCR Spokesperson in Zagreb Alemka
Lisinski today.
"The Croatian bordering police did not allow the passage of our
convoys without explanation," the Spokesperson said.
At the same border crossing, two convoys for Tomislavgrad and
Siroki Brijeg were stopped today. Only a Jablanica-bound convoy was
allowed to pass, she added.
The UNHCR protested with police in Metkovic. The UNHCR is
surprised, but we hope that it is just a misunderstanding, said
Lisinski adding that the UNHCR will send new humanitarian shipment
from Metkovic to Zenica and Sarajevo.
"The police of the Split-Dalmatia county has no information about
halting the UNHCR convoys at the Mali Prolog border crossing,"
Spokesperson of the Croatian Ministry of Interior Mladen Lackovic
told HINA.
