HDZ OF BOSANSKA POSAVINA HOLDS A MEETING

ZAGREB, Dec 20 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) of the union of municipalities of Bosanska Posavina region, northern Bosnia, held a meeting on Monday at which it adopted amendments to the statute of the HDZ of Bosnia-Herzegovina, relative to the new organization of the party and authority in the Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia. The meeting adopted a proposal for the organization of Herzeg- Bosnia in which Bosanska Posavina would be one of the four of its counties. The HDZ of Bosanska Posavina disowned, on behalf of the Croatian people, illegal and illegitimate conclusions and decisions passed at an informal meeting in Slavonski Brod on 18 December 1993, said a statement released from today's meeting. The 18 December meeting was organized by the Zagreb-based Union of Refugees of Bosanska Posavina and it proclaimed the province of Bosanska Posavina and elected its executive body - the Croatian National Council. The meeting empowered two of its deputies to represent the newly-proclaimed province at peace talks on Bosnia- Herzegovina. 202152 MET dec 93
