ZENICA, Dec 4 (Hina) - The Mayor of the town of Zenica (Central
Bosnia), Besim Spahic, informed the international organizations
that free Croats' and Serbs' leaving of Zenica had been stopped,
broadcast the Zenica radio on Saturday morning.
The suspension of the decision that women, children and the sick
persons of the Croatian and Serbian nationality be enabled to leave
the town freely, was made after the accusations of the
international press that it was an act of ethnic cleansing, said
the same radio.
The Croatian Defence Council (HVO) of Vitez evaluated such a
decision on the suspension to be cynical, since the Croats and
Serbs, who could be conscripted and who were mobilized in the
Moslem-led B-H Army by force so far in order to be sent to fight
the HVO units in Central Bosnia, could not leave Zenica anyway.
