SARAJEVO, Nov 29 (Hina) - "If the negotiations fail, there will be a
humanitarian disaster," said Bosnian Prime Minister Haris Silajdzic in
Geneva on Monday before the talks on the crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"If no results are achieved now, I don't know they will be, because
pressure by Europe has never been so strong," said Bosnian Ambassador to
the UN Muhamed Sacirbey.
Muhamed Filipovic, a member of the Bosnian Moslem delegation, said the
conference would be successful if a peace settlement were reached on the
basis of mutual recognition of states which emerged after the break-up
of former Yugoslavia. "This includes the inviolability of borders as
well as the withdrawal of armed forces from all occupied territories,"
he said.
