SERB AGGRESSORS' ATTACKS ON ORASJE-SAMAC AREA

ORASJE, Nov 27 (Hina) - The Serb aggressors carried out fierce attacks on the Orasje-Samac battlefield (on the right bank of the Sava River, the Bosnian Posavina) last evening, reported the local command of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO). The Serb forces, stationed in Obudavac and Zoran, fired four howitzer and two shoulder-launcher shells at the greater area of Orasje at about 18:20 hrs Friday. The Orasje crisis area was exposed to small arms and anti-aircraft weapons fire afterwards. Five tank projectiles hit the area at about 23:00, whereas the defence lines were pounded with some twenty 120mm- and 82mm-rounds last night, said the local HVO command. The HVO soldiers did not return fire. Last night's gratuitous attacks of the Serb aggressors left no casualties, but caused considerable material losses, according to the same source. 271049 MET nov 93
